Cutting-edge surgical technique paired with compassion, kindness, and time. Every plan is personalized — built around your medical history, lifestyle, and what you want next.

Microsurgical breast reconstruction using your own tissue.
The Deep Inferior Epigastric Artery Perforator flap takes skin and tissue (no muscle) from the abdomen to recreate the breast after mastectomy — for a more natural silhouette and an improved abdominal contour. Dr. Melendez was the first fellowship-trained microsurgeon to perform the DIEP flap at Griffin and Norwalk Hospital.
Dr. Melendez holds staff privileges at three of the region's most respected hospitals, with an active role in breast cancer surgery, reconstruction, and tumor board care.

✦ Body Procedure
Abdominoplasty flattens the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying muscles — ideal after weight loss or pregnancy.
Excess skin and fat are removed while the underlying abdominal muscles are tightened for a smoother silhouette.
Dr. Melendez tailors the technique — full or mini abdominoplasty — based on your anatomy, history, and goals.
You'll receive detailed pre- and post-op guidance, with a 24-hour patient line for added peace of mind.
